Huge and dangerous, but oh so cuddly! The quintessential "American buffalo".
Bison are grazers. In the winter, they use their snouts
to clear away the deep snow so they can get to the grass underneath.
That's why this one has snow on his face.
Despite the fact that most people call them "buffalo",
the bison is technically not a buffalo - this term properly refers
only to the Asian water buffalo or the African ("Cape") buffalo.
