Titmouse on an Apple Tree

This chubby little titmouse spent quite a bit of time hopping around on the branches of this apple tree, giving me a chance to get some nice photos.

The common Tufted Titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor) is easily distinguished by its blue-grey back and head, and rufous patches under the wings.

Photographed March 2006, Princeton NJ.
